So many business owners do not know that they can get subsidies of up to 70% percent with the Capability Development Grant (CDG). Are you one of them?
Spring Singapore offers the Capability Development Grant (CDG) to offer support to SMEs. The grant supports a wide-range of capability upgrading initiatives to help grow businesses locally and globally.
It is a financial assistance programme that helps develop capabilities across ten development areas, ranging from raising service standards, adopting technology to staff training, overseas expansion and brand & marketing strategy development. That is where we come in. Read on and you will not regret it.
Brand Development is one of ten areas available under this scheme. Though the grant process has its problems, in terms of approval time (they say 6 to 8 weeks, but its more like 6 to 8 months) and what Spring Singapore considers to be suitable for subsidy (which seems to change for no apparent reason), they do fund up to 70% of the brand development costs. How do we know? We have helped a few businesses out and have witnessed that the grant is not a myth.
Our Managing Director, Colin Anderson, is a Senior Practicing Management Consultant (SPMC) certified under the Singapore Business Advisors & Consultants Council and has been pre-qualified to consult under this Spring Singapore initiative. We have already helped a number of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) under this scheme and currently have a number of programmes in progress.
Eligibility is down to the these three (officially mentioned) key criteria:
– Registered and operating in Singapore
– At least 30% local shareholding
– Group annual sales turnover ≤ S$100m or group employment of ≤200 employees
This support of up to 70% would be effective for three years until 31 March 2018.
