What’s the big deal?



Well, it is not just a big deal, it is kind of a HUGE deal. There are only about 1.3 million companies around the world that are certified. “Why does a company need to be ISO 9001:2008 certified?” We thought you would never ask! ISO 9001:2008 is the certification given to a company that passes a physical quality standard audit by a registrar. This means that if you’re a client, you can be assured that your needs and requirements will be met with utmost quality, efficiency and professionalism.


Companies with an ISO 9001:2008 certification, work around a quality management system (QMS) to provide and ensure quality services and products.

1. International Recognition

ISO 9001 is a worldwide standard administered by the International Organisation for Standardisation, based in Switzerland. It started with firms in the UK, wanting their consultants to have the same standards that they are required to comply with and we see this as a trend extending to Asia. Singapore is not an exception. At Brandcourage, achieving a worldwide standard for quality is one of our main priorities.

We have had to reflect and break down our business processes, services and products to achieve the requirements of getting the certification. This has helped us identify and strengthen ourselves as a company. As a team, we have learnt to better understand and communicate all aspects of the business to our clients and in turn, we are able to produce work not to only meet the client’s stated requirements but exceed their expectations as well.

A great company is one that starts working from the inside out. Our team is made up of super troopers but even super troopers can make mistakes and miss things. This certification encourages us to take stock of what we do and how we do it, so that we can make systemic improvements for greater consistency across programmes. The systems and processes give structure and bring order to chaos. Only then will we be able to achieve great work and client satisfaction.


The QMS allows us to properly lay down job descriptions and tasks through the identified processes and services. When these are clearly laid out, the team knows what their roles are and are able to manage their time and energy more efficiently to provide excellent work.
